Why Coaching?

Here at Burghley Park Golf Club, we don't work on a specific coaching philosophy and believe that every golfer is different and has varied ability, experience and knowledge. Drew has worked with golfers of all standards from elite level professional, county representatives, club golfers and beginners. This has helped in his coaching presentation and explanation to ensure that every individual taking lessons fully understands what it is they have to work on to see the most improvement in their game.

Both Drew and Patrick will ensure you have a fun, informative and engaging experience in any lesson you have. They offer video analysis with the FlightScope X3 launch monitor to provide accurate club and ball data.

Every customer has the option to book online from the convenience of your own home and you can also view your FlightScope data post lesson on myflightscope.com.

Drew Farrell - Head PGA Professional

Drew Farrell joined the team at Burghley Park in April 2017, having previously worked at Toft Hotel Golf Club where he studied the PGA Foundation Degree. Drew excels in coaching players from complete beginner to elite level professionals. He is also the custom fitting expert at the club and is always on hand to provide advice on any matter regarding golf equipment. Drew uses FlightScope X3 to provide unprecedented accuracy and performance enhancing data analysis all of which can shared via email for you to look back on. From January 2025, he has also taken on a brand ambassador role with Taylormade Golf. He has the responsibilities of running the Pro Shop and managing his two assistants as well as overseeing the day to day business operations of the Golf Club.

Patrick Kelly - Assistant Professional

Patrick began working at Burghley Park Golf Club in September 2020 and commenced his foundation degree in Professional Golf Studies in October. He works closely with Drew in order to ensure the smooth operation of the pro shop and golf club facilities. Patrick became a fully qualified PGA Professional in July 2024 following completion of his PGA Degree.
